Community Clean-Up & Entrance Refresh

Neighbours turned out in force this morning to tidy the estate, refresh the entrance beds and give the Millers Glen stone a proper makeover.

Community Clean-Up & Entrance Refresh

What happened

A brilliant turnout for our summer Community Call! Volunteers of all ages met outside Centra at 10am sharp and spread out across the estate — litter picking along the roads and footpaths, clearing weeds from kerbs, and giving the entrance planter around the Millers Glen stone a full refresh with fresh compost, new shrubs and seasonal colour. We were also delighted to be joined by our local representative Luke for part of the morning.

Why we did it

Our shared spaces are the first thing visitors and residents see every day. A friendly, hands-on morning is the simplest way to keep the Glen looking cared for — and to meet a few neighbours while we’re at it.

Who took part

Around 25 residents took part across the morning, including families with younger kids, alongside members of the MGRA committee. Tools, gloves and hi-vis vests were provided; Centra kindly helped with supplies.

Community Clean-Up and Landscaping Day

Millers Glen residents came together for a successful community clean-up and landscaping day, helping to refresh and brighten shared spaces across the estate.

Millers Glen Residents Association would like to thank everyone who helped make the day such a success. It was a great community effort, with residents, volunteers, and supporters working together to improve the look and feel of the area.

We are especially grateful to Glenveagh Homes for supporting the clean-up and planting with equipment, and to Centra Millers Glen for kindly providing goodies for the volunteers. Their support was much appreciated.

We were also delighted to welcome Cllr. Luke Corkery, who popped by to show his support, and we would like to thank our landscapers, Marton Buriska and Tibor Todor, for their hard work and help throughout the day.

The improvements made during the day have helped refresh key areas of Millers Glen and made a noticeable difference for residents to enjoy.
