Estate Clean-Up Day — Longview Avenue & Westmill

Twelve neighbours turned out in the rain to tidy Longview Avenue, the gate and the areas around the Westmill playground.

What happened

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and volunteered on Saturday, 29th August for our Millers Glen clean-up day! We had 12 fantastic neighbours come along despite the not-so-great weather, and we managed to tackle a good chunk of Longview Avenue and the gate, as well as the areas around the Westmill playground. It was brilliant to see everyone getting stuck in and helping to make our estate look its best. A special congratulations to our spot prize winners — Shane, Gareth and Joanna!

Why we did it

Regular clean-up mornings keep the roads, paths and green spaces around the Glen looking cared for, and they're a great excuse to meet a few neighbours along the way.

Who took part

12 residents took part, young and old, with tools, gloves and hi-vis vests provided on the day. Thank you to everyone who gave up their Saturday morning to support the Residents Association and our community — every bit of effort makes a difference. Our next clean-up day is Saturday, 26th September. Hopefully we'll be blessed with better weather and even more neighbours will come along and join us!
